Sandra Schlesinger is a Texas native and has lived in South Florida most of her life. She grew up in Miami and holds Bachelors in Business from FIU. She works locally as a Financial Consultant to various corporations. 

Sandra has studied in several areas of the arts in both painting and music. She enjoys painting with Oils, Acrylics, Water color  and Airbrush. She has also spent many years playing the Guitar, singing and teaching in Chorus and has been a Competitive Singer as well. Sandra’s heritage and  love for color is reflected in her art. She paints with bold deep colors that reflect how she expresses her connection to the world around her.

As a tribute to her Mexican-American background, she has taken the nom de plume of “htamale” to sign her artwork which can also be seen at htamale.com

In her personal time, she enjoys photography and  the metaphysical arts as a Reiki Master.

Sandra is married and lives with her husband of 24 years along with her three dogs and four cats in Miramar, Florida.
